The preliminary version of FoScenes releases 40 seamless scenes over 28 diverse forest sites using ALS data acquired by NASA Goddard’s LiDAR, Hyperspectral & Thermal Imager (G-LiHT).
We are now looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow to support research activities in developing fusion algorithms combining Photogrammetry and LiDAR technologies to retrieve forest canopy structure. 1-2 RA to support research activities in developing algorithms to monitor the phenology of urban vegetation using LiDAR technology. 1 PhD student has experience in 3-D radiative transfer modelling.
Dr. YIN’s two papers on modeling forest canopy surface retrievals from spaceborne stereogrammetry are published in RSE. Bridging photogrammetry with 3-D ridiative transfer simulation, this study demonstrates our great potential in providing a benchmark for stereo processing algorithms and valuable guidance for future very-high-resolution (VHR) satellite acquisition.
